Pivot Your Practice and BulletProof Your Future — If You Have Decided To Ignore My Advice About Not Doing A Membership Site Now Here Is An Article About Choosing The Best One?

Here are the best platforms to use to get your membership site hosted and housed and ready to bring in extra revenue.

MemberPress

MemberPress (https://memberpress.com) is a WordPress Membership Plugin that is incredibly easy to use. The powerful software is simple to install on your site, and it helps you to start charging for access to your content instantly. It allows you to create an unlimited number of product pages and membership levels, as well as giving you access to features like coupons for special offers. It also provides access rules that let you create sophisticated membership levels and product groups that will provide you with the option to create a large-scale membership site.

DigitalAccessPass

DigitalAccessPass (https://digitalaccesspass.com) is another plugin that works with WordPress to create sophisticated membership sites. The great thing about DigitalAccessPass is that you can also use it with non-WordPress sites. It has a built-in Content Responder to drip content to your members, email autoresponder, and many other features that will help you stand out from the crowd. It is very handy to be able to schedule content into the site so that it ‘drops’ at the right times. You can be on holiday but your service carries on.

SubHub

SubHub (https://subhub.com) has become a popular platform for practices that are looking to establish membership features for their premium content — you very very best most effective programmes, online courses, or even research studies if your practitioner work involves that. If you offer a range of content the Pay to View feature can allow you to provide visitors with a way to get what they want without having to pay a recurring membership fee. Giving people that choice can end up attracting more customers. Subhub has an extensive directory of templates so you can create a site that reflects your vision and mission.

My only word of warning is to be aware that your vision and mission may well morph over the next year so starting small and being focused on one issue or niche group is the way to begin.

Wild Apricot

Wild Apricot (https://wildapricot.com) is an incredibly popular software option with non-profits, small business hubs, small yacht clubs, and other small-scale organizations that need a simple to use platform. Wild Apricot allows you to create a website quickly with the drag and drop website builder, a mobile-friendly member application and automated renewals and active member self-service to update information. The software even integrates member-only content into existing WordPress Sites.

These are just some of the available platforms for building a membership site. There are so many these days I can be hard to make a choice. These are ones I know about and have heard good things about. Take some time to research to determine which platform will work best for you.

This is a series for coaches and therapists who are passionate about their work and their clients but struggling to find a way to make things work post-Covid as clients melt away and money becomes an issue for most people.

This is a time when most of us are scared. Nothing is known or predictable and many of us are dithering about what to do. In fact, this indecision is paralysing us and that is something that will derail the success of any practice. Therapists and coaches who are successful are people who have learned to do two things.

One is be flexible enough to pivot their business to what will work now — and the other is to break through enough of the fear barriers to get productive again.
